Review of Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid

Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Quinn and Janie are a bit of an odd couple. She is a knitter who loves to wear organically produced cotton underwear and he is a millionaire who loves to hide her panties and wouldn’t be opposed to getting a tattoo saying he’s her property on him. The book is divided into six parts, following the couple through them: setting the trap, the engagement, planning the wedding, meeting the family, Vegas, and the wedding. Although they’ve been dating only a few months, Quinn proposes and wants to get married quickly. Janie accepts, yet wants the wedding to be a few months away. The months that follow are filled with humor, love, and meeting the parents.

Neanderthal Marries Human in the second in the Knitting in the City series. As an avid crocheter, Penny Reid already had me at knitting before I even read a single page in the book. This book was filled with wonderful surprises, from the proposal while Janie is tied to a rack, to the hidden underwear, to the texts they send to one another. Quinn and Janie are an endearing couple. Although very much opposites, they are undoubtedly made for one another and in love with each other. Ms. Reid’s writing is filled with humor, sass, and above all, talent. I am looking forward to what Ms. Reid will come up with next.
