REVIEW
Rating: 3.5*
It is the end of the hockey season for Sebastian and it ended not the way he expected it to. To put it out of his mind, he intends on leaving town for his rural cabin for the summer but first he needs to get through a blind date with Bettina. Bettina has had a crush on Sebastian for a while so has been pestering for a date with him for a while. Sebastian doesn't do relationships of any sort with women but Bettina manages to invite herself to stay at the cabin with him.
I really enjoy this series but, whilst I liked the banter between them, I didn't really feel the chemistry between them. It felt like a good friendship but nothing more. The good thing about having their relationship develop in the way that it did meant that they were able to get to know each other without distraction , as did we, the reader.
This was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours curled up on the sofa and I knew I would be in safe hands with SR Grey.
"Hilarious and perfectly 'played' sports romance that I devoured in one sitting! I can't wait to read more." - #1 NYT Bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken
"The usual Grey crisp writing, lovable heroes that you kinda want to slap, and a heroine that doesn't back down," Resistance on Ice is another fun standalone novel in the bestselling Boys of Winter hockey romance series.” - Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Ilsa Madden-Mills
