So Lilah Love has to be one of my all time favourite female characters. She is confident, strong, passionate, brilliant at her job, speaks her mind and takes no messing. I wish I was even a little bit like her.

So in typical Lisa Renee Jones style, this picks up exactly where 'Bloody Vows' left off. The events would have completely destroyed anyone else but not Lilah. Her strength of character shines through. The search for the latest serial killer continues as whoever it is tries to draw Lilah and Kane deeper into their net. 

What makes this series is the relationship between Lilah and Kane. It shouldn't work with Lilah being a FBI agent and Kane with his connections to the mafia but it does. They challenge each other to be better whilst recognising that the other must follow their own path. They are incredible together and Lilah gives the very alpha Kane a run for his money. He is softer around her but always very protective. 

So plenty of tension abound in this book that kept me hooked and on the edge of my seat throughout. I was kept guessing about the killer was until this fact was ready to be revealed. This combined with the heat and chemistry between Kane and Lilah gives the perfect blend for me. I was so excited to be back with this series and can't wait to see where this series takes me next.
