Christopher Kaiser is an international best-selling author whose books have taken the romance genre by storm. Rumor has it that his sexy stories are inspired by personal experiences with his many so-called muses. Touted as one of the South’s most notorious playboys, Christopher is too busy living his best life to settle down anytime soon. Besides, what would happen with his writing if he gave up his “explorations”?
Determined to take matters into her own hands, Klara decides to jump-start her love life with a catastrophe of her own making. Unfortunately, an innocent bystander prevents her desperate attempt for attention by rescuing her from yet another one of her bad decisions. Annoyed—and also a bit turned on by this sexy new hero—Klara goes home, defeated. Forcing herself to focus on her writing, she shows up to her first workshop and quickly learns that her hero from earlier is none other than her instructor, Christopher Kaiser. Will she actually learn something from this, or will she be too distracted by her hots for the teacher?
REVIEW
Rating: ☆☆☆☆
Aspiring writer Klara has a case of writer's block so when her favourite author is in town to teach a writer's workshop she is first in line to sign up. Chris is the male erotica author in question, who has muse in each city he has visited. He also doesn't believe in love.
When a stranger prevents her from executing her plan to get to know a fellow runner better, she is astonished to discover that he is in fact her favourite author. As they spend time together because of the chemistry between them, they become each other's muse for the time he is there.
Klara was certainly sassy and Chris determined and motivating. I am going to be honest and say that I didn't find this hilariously funny. I, unfortunately, only found it mildly funny in places. This could be down to my own (lack of) of sense of humour but I only found myself smiling at some of their antics. I still found it an enjoyable read.
