Every day, my neighbor tells me to have a good morning.
Every day, I tell him to f*ck off.
Kyle Lane is the town’s hottest cop.
He’s also the man I’ve despised since high school.
Each morning, he stands on his porch with an annoying smirk on his
perfect face.
He’s made it his life’s mission to get under my skin.
Until one day, he’s no longer on his porch but on mine.
He claims he wants to redeem himself for ruining my reputation.
My instincts tell me to stay away, but with each morning he shows up,
it becomes harder and harder to resist his charm.
I was never supposed to fall in love with my neighbor and once he finds
out my secret, we’ll forever be enemies.

Another full on, emotive read.
Chloe and Kyle are neighbours. Kyle likes getting a rise out of Chloe as she has hated him since school. As they come from two different sides of the track they never gave each other a chance. Chloe is battling a sister who seems to think that being mother can happen when she feels like it, leaving Chloe to look after them and love them until the sister wants money and then pulls her children away until she gets it. Lovely human being. Chloe also carries some secrets: one in particular could destroy both families.
They say there is a fine line between love and hate and that is proven here as Kyle gets under her skin and becomes more than the annoying neighbour. Kyle is a decent human being, unlike his father who gets off on power. Kyle doesn't care about where Chloe used to live, who her family are or what she does. He looks beneath the surface and sees the heart beneath.
I loved the banter between these two and how she doesn't give him what he wants without a battle. This was touched with sadness that was gut wrenching but the author heals you by the end, alongside the characters.
Another great read in this series.
