Recently divorced Sienna finds herself attracted to much younger builder Jace. Jace is very much controlled by his step-father as he is protecting his brother from him. Whilst they try to stay away from each other, it becomes impossible and they spend time together secretly.
Jace is far more mature than his age would suggest. He understands the need to play the long game and will do whatever it takes to protect his brother. Everything he does has the end game of taking custody of him. Sienna is trying to put her life back together after her divorce and the negativity surrounding it, including that Sienna must have done something wrong - never mind the fact that he was the one who had the affair.
Neither the ex-husband nor the step-father are particularly nice men and are quite manipulative to get what they want. The dynamics in this book were interesting, particularly as Jace's main priority was not his love for Sienna but his brother. I did enjoy this book and it was good to read about a woman in her prime years with a man younger than her.
