This was an amazing book!!! I hope there are more to come. I read this in a couple of hours.

Amelia now has to take on the responsibility of being The Portal. She has no one to lead her because her brother Justin was the last in the family who was the portal until he passed away. Amelia has no clue what to do when she is the portal. Along with that she is fighting the fact that she is in love because she cannot handle any more loss. She is trying to learn how to be the portal but also battling herself in the process.

Kyle is the Guardian of the Portal. He is there to protect them when they are most vulnerable. He has been in lice with the same woman for 20 years and has not been able to climb her "tower". As he now is her guardian he is also trying to climb her "tower" and has been unsuccessful thus far. He is not sure what to do...when she is in mortal danger he realizes that he must do all he can to protect her because he cannot lose her.

With these two be able to come together even with the many obstacles they face or are they not meant to be? Read to find out.
